Garage of Awesome Consulting is an offshoot of the Garage of Awesome Company that was founded way back in 2010 by two good mates who were completely obsessed with all things automotive. While one of the co-founders now writes for Street Machine Magazine and Unique Cars, the other has maintained a healthy car obsession but realised that he could provide fantastic Microsoft services as well. It was his day job for 20 years after all, so the Garage of Awesome name was kept, but now provides top notch Microsoft services rather than importing Lincoln Continentals and Cadillacs.
Fast forward 10 years and company owners, Ross and Emma are still heavily into motor sport culminating with a recent third place in class at the 2019 Adelaide Rally and hopefully many more podiums to come. While the motor sport and automotive obsession remains, the business focus has shifted to empowering our clients to use their existing investment in Microsoft licensing for O365 and Azure. However, we’re always interested in talking about your projects and what is hiding in the shed so drop us a line.
In our free time, on top of the tarmac rally car, we also compete in the local Khanacross series and dirt rally in a Nissan Skyline and plenty of track events at our local track, The Bend Motorsport Park. Keep an eye out for us at local events and come over and say hi.
Emma is our business lead, with a background in technical IT delivery, management, business analysis, training and process & performance improvement.
Using this experience, Emma works with leadership teams to ensure business requirements and priorities drive technology recommendations.
Ross has 20+ years of experience in the IT industry with a wide variety of qualification and experiences collected over this time which gives him a broad knowledge-base to draw from. For over 8 years he worked in a defence environment with 6 years at a Top Secret level. He is passionate about delivering projects on time and to the customer’s satisfaction as well as successful consulting engagements including road mapping and high level architectural designs.
Alli manages our business, running the day to day and keeping our projects on track (and us on task!). She comes from a health management background and is also a certified Trainer and Assessor. She also runs some of our training along with Emma.
Sam is a M365 Technical Consultant. He is an experienced client consultant with strong IT skills. He is passionate about technology and gaming.
